Jeremy Irish Interview – Metaplaces Conference

At the Metaplaces Conference in San Jose California, Jeremy Irish sat down with Ludovic Privat for a brief interview. Jeremy shares a little bit about Groundspeak Inc. and the growth of geocaching all over the world. It nice to see the big guy putting putting himself out there a bit more and letting us get to know him a bit better. Thanks to Jeremy and Ludovic for this interview which originally ran in the “GPS Business News”.

    Sweet, this “sport” has really caught on, I go with my friend sometimes. He's more in to it than me, but I like it too. I do hate it when I arrive where the cache should be and someone's taken it, though!

    “Muggled” caches can really be discouraging. The first time I found the remnants of one, my heart just sank. That was the day I decided that being stealthy and foregoing a cache find to save the cache location, would be a top priority in my caching adventures. Sometimes there are just too many eyes watching to make the grad a safe one. It still breaks my heart to see stuff scattered all over and TB's and Geocoins missing. I really like going geocaching and have just tried to get better at misdirection and deception!
